Territory Manager - North Island
Vetpak/ Alleva Territory Manager for Northland, East Coast, Coromandel and the out skirts of the Waikato.
I have been working in the Animal health field for just 2 years but my association with dairy farming and large animals started as a child as I was raised on a Waikato dairy farm.
I left the Waikato as a school leaver and trained as a registered nurse and have had a 35 year career in Primary health, Intensive care and more recently 10 years in a private practice for vascular, dermatology and appearance medicine physicians. I was the most senior nurse for the last 2 years and practiced independently as a specialist nurse injector.
An opportunity presented for me to change direction and join Vetpak, initially to fill a gap but here I am 2 years later and really enjoying my new role. I have recently completed some on line study in Equine and Dairy Nutrition and Management and attended study days with Lucy Waldron equine Nutrition at Massey University.
I am married to Chris and we have 6 adult children all living in different cities around the North Island. With more free time we have resumed our equine sport but rather than show jumping we have taken up trekking and spend our weekends riding through beautiful New Zealand country side, Sheep and Beef stations and beaches with other likeminded people. We both have a love of animals and have two cats Eddie and Ian and two horses Red and Amie.
