INDICATIONS
A ready to use solution suitable for fixation of Histological Samples and may also be used for treating Footrot and Scald in animals as part of a Footrot control regime.
INGREDIENTS
A 10% Solution of Formaldehyde (40gm/ L Stabilized Formaldehyde)
DIRECTIONS
Footrot/Scald
Make a solution up using 1L of Formalin 10% to 4L of clean cold water in a footbath, ensure there is enough solution in the footbath to just cover the hooves of the animal.
Contact time in the trough of solution should be greater than 30 seconds and no more than five minutes, after treatment with the solution hold the animals in a dry area for at least 30-45 minutes before allowing back onto clean pasture.
Repeat weekly until symptoms disappear.
